I had a consultation with Director Kim. When you go in, they put a headband on you and take photos, and I do not know how many shots they took from the front, side, 45 degrees, up and down lol They asked if I was wearing contact lenses, and just in case, I think it would be better not to wear colored lenses. The director's surgery was delayed, so I got tired of waiting for over an hour before going in. Maybe because he was sorry for making me wait, or maybe because that is just how he is, he gave the consultation very kindly.
He tried several times to mark the line and then showed me five line options by height. For me, he said folding without incision would be possible up to option 3, but eye correction was not recommended, and options 4 and 5 would require incisional eye correction.
I wanted to reduce the Mongolian fold as much as possible, so I asked about epicanthoplasty. He said there is a Mongolian fold, but because the lacrimal caruncle is already visible, If they open it too much, it would look unnatural, so he recommended an upper canthoplasty and only a very slight epicanthoplasty of about 0.5 mm on the right side, where the Mongolian fold is more pronounced. He said a little Mongolian fold might remain, but that would be better. It definitely felt like he was pursuing a natural look.
I also asked about fat grafting for the butt chin, but he said it would not work there and that filler would be needed instead... (The director laughed and said, "There are a lot of things that do not work, right? If it does not work, I just say it does not work lol...")
Out of about five places I have visited so far, this was the first place where I thought, 'Ah, this is the person. Even if they do not hit a home run, they will not completely fail me.' But there were so many people that I hesitated because I was not sure if aftercare would be handled well and whether I could book the surgery date I wanted.
(Oh, it is sedation plus local anesthesia, and the stitches are removed unusually after 4 days.)
