I went with a guardian, and when I was speaking with the manager, there was this strange rule where the guardian could join the consultation, but could not go in with me to see the director. Another unusual thing was that they said I had to do three tests, including an ECG and a few others, and only if I met the conditions could I have surgery (they said it cost about 110,000 won). So they said they could be very confident about safety, and it was reassuring, but also a bit unusual. The director’s consultation style was basically to look at me and talk through things fluently on their own, so if you don’t prepare questions in advance, the consultation could just end right there. I recommend bringing your questions beforehand!
