I went in for a consultation. The doctor seemed very confident, and I felt that I could trust them. But the consultation manager... Since the medical information we have comes mostly from YouTube or reviews, from the manager's point of view, the patient's questions may seem ignorant, like, oh, that counts as a question...? But from the patient's perspective, because we're taking on the risk of side effects and going through surgery that puts a knife to the face, we have no choice but to ask the manager questions very thoroughly. We also have to think through our concerns countless times. My mother was asking a question, and she sounded irritated, then raised her voice saying, Hm..? Why would you do it that way? which was unpleasant. The same happened to me. She pushed me while telling me to wait. She could have just said it, so why make a point of it...? It even felt a little bad. Even if the question seems low-level from the manager's perspective, reacting that way makes people feel embarrassed and awkward. I wish she had understood the patient's position a little more.
