Nose Surgery Reviews

Comiin review

Ugh, there has been another victim T_T I happened to come back here after a long time, and I was upset, so I am revising this with an additional post. I truly hope no more victims come out after this...

In 2022, I came with my mom for her surgery consultation after a friend introduced this place. On impulse, we both had surgery the same day. It was reckless. I regret it to death.. What I got from this hospital was PTSD, a ruined face, and depression. What I lost was money and time.

First, these are the problems I thought of based on what I experienced. (The OR assistant performed surgery in place of the doctor while the attending surgeon was teaching them.. concurrent surgeries - more than 3 people behind one curtain (for reference, there is one chief director - gynecology background), no CT machine, only 10 seconds of consultation with the doctor before surgery after talking with the manager, manager - surgery performed by someone with no specialty, OR cleanliness - hospital staff in fur coats coming in and out of the operating room during surgery, old equipment, brokers taking a 20% commission - anyone can do it, no memory of the patient after a 10-second postoperative check because the doctor did not actually do the surgery, and if there are complications they just deny everything to the end - every hospital staff member reacts the same way, and if you make a huge scene they say they will give you Botox~ things like that..) You still would not go there, right..

I had already done the legwork at other places and made reservations, but the impulsive mother-and-daughter pair crossed a point of no return.. My mother knew nothing, but I had had quite a bit of cosmetic surgery, and I thought I knew most plastic surgery clinics in Gangnam, but yes, this was truly the biggest mistake of my life.. I had a bad feeling, like, is this really right..? Is it..? but it was introduced by my mom's acquaintance, (that woman said it had turned out well, in her own way) and I ended up going into the operating room, falling for the self-hypnosis that it must be a little gem of a clinic that had spread by word of mouth among the aunties!

My mom decided to get rhinoplasty, a facelift, and fat grafting, and I was going to get nose surgery. After paying (they also forced bank transfer, while pushing discount talk T_T), I asked whether it was really okay to do big surgeries at the same time, but they said everyone does it that way and there was nothing to worry about. Putting my uneasy feelings aside, my mom went into the operating room first. Then I went in after her, and the moment I entered my body froze. The operating table looked like something from an absurd old sitcom, and through just one curtain, my mother was under general anesthesia and being operated on, another patient was in surgery, and the table I was about to lie on... I think there were a few more, but I cannot remember clearly because it was so terrifying. When I looked at my mom's operating table, I was so scared that I wanted to turn around and leave, but before I could gather my thoughts they tied me down and anesthesia went in. I wake up easily from anesthesia and usually babble and struggle, and what I vaguely remember is that I felt like a young man I thought was an assistant was actually doing the surgery, so I struggled a lot. After my surgery somehow ended, I came out and waited for my mom, but she did not come out for much longer than planned, so I waited anxiously. Near closing time, my mom finally came out. She looked like someone on the verge of death... Since it was a major surgery, I suppose being covered in blood sounds normal, but it truly felt like something had gone very, very wrong. Sure enough, there was heavy bleeding, so they had to stop the surgery, take fat from the thigh, and stop in the middle of the nose work after the lifting procedure... But the doctor never showed his face, left the explanation to an assistant, and the two of us stayed in that old hospital.. They are truly people with neither responsibility nor humanity.. My mom said that while operating, the doctor was teaching someone and saying things like, "Do it like this, and do it like this, understand?" And then, "Oh my!!! Blood!! Wow, I have never seen so much blood!!" My mom clearly remembered the conversation in the operating room..

With the pain and worry about my mom, I could not sleep at all, and I thought, this does not seem right, let's stop my mom's surgery and just do it somewhere else. But thinking about it, which hospital would take over a half-finished surgery.. We also had no financial room, so we spent everything on the surgery, sigh..

The next day the doctor came and said the bleeding was severe, so they had simply stopped. It is nothing serious, let's do it again, and then went in and did it again T_TTTT I really waited for my mom crying... ignorance is a sin.. I worried whether she would not come out, where and how things had gone wrong, why we made that choice, I hated and pitied myself, my head was blank and every minute felt like an hour, an awful time..

After that horrible experience, I only waited for recovery and reluctantly kept going to the hospital for dressing changes, splint removal, and checkups. The result was, as expected, that both of us were completely ruined.. I ended up with a nose that was neither ugly nor pretty, like an avatar, and my mom ended up with a completely upturned nose and the inside cartilage fully visible..... I was just speechless. Anyone could tell T_T If I complained to the hospital, all they said was to wait, like parrots. And the doctor's regional accent, as he irresponsibly rambled on saying things like, "Wow, it turned out great, so pretty~" is still vivid in my ears. I would love to explain everything in full detail to the very end, but everything up to now is only about one-third of the story...

In short, to summarize the facts: (It is not just at the level of a ghost doctor; there is only one doctor, but he operates on three people at the same time.. haha. It is obvious, right? And they use patients like lab rats for practice..) None of the people at that hospital are sane.. Crazy money-obsessed psychos.. The chief director, named Choi Ji-min, is an OB-GYN.. The manager is not any kind of specialist, but she does the double-eyelid surgery.. Talking while consulting.. then double-eyelid surgery.. sighhhhhh A truly amazing hospital that only gets worse the more you dig.. Please please please do not go.. I am begging you...

Up to here is the additional revised version

I had a revision surgery, and my mom only had the silicone removed (in the end, due to inflammation) Her impression became terribly harsh T_T she said she did not know how long she would live, that she felt surgical trauma and thought she would just live like this.. I only learned after the first CT scan that they had used L-shaped silicone. I cannot understand why they would ever use L-shaped silicone at allll There is only one surgical method! Whether the nose is small or big, lifted or drooping! There is only one method ^^ the marionette work of the OR assistant haha At the revision clinic, they said even the silicone was not fitting exactly to the bone and was floating up. They said the tip cartilage and the silicone were so close it was about to break through.. They made an avatar out of my normal nose, and it bent, and I had my nose operated on for the third time every other day. The silicone was crooked, the cartilage was sticking out, and all that, with local anesthesia on skin full of scars haha Since then I think I have developed trauma toward the operating table. Even if I only get Botox, I get facial spasms haha

I did it together with my mom, and my mom kept getting inflammation and stiffness, feeling something being touched, but the doctor just played dumb haha Whenever we went because there was clearly a problem, they said everything was fine lol No, the patient is saying it is not fine??? It is obvious the doctor had assistants do all the surgery and cannot even remember it because they did not actually do it (because when I went into the operating room for my surgery, there were already two people lying there behind one curtain... one had their forehead open...;;;; there is only one doctor...??!? And the person at the front desk or manager kept coming and going in fur coats while surgery was in progress. It was winter back then. We should have stormed out right then. Sigh..) When you complain, they only spout nonsense like how they gave you a huge discount so it was basically free. My mom went in recently because it felt hot, stiff, and swollen, and they said it was not inflammation T_T then what exactly has to rot and crumble before they admit it is inflammation? T_T In the end, after pleading, she had only the silicone removed. No CT scan or anything like that at all, and even when we asked what surgery had been done, they would not even show the chart haha; Even if you ask the doctor, they do not know.. because they were not the one who did it.... It feels like the OR staff just do everything themselves. Post-op management is truly a total mess, doctor qualification x, morality and humanity lost Worst possible hygiene management in the operating room; I really empathize with all the reviews It feels like I wrote them all myself T_T
