I am in my late 20s now, and I had double eyelid surgery here right after I turned 20, and I was satisfied. The disappointing part is that for almost 2 years it felt swollen or a little unnatural, and from my mid-20s onward nobody seemed to know I had double eyelid surgery and I got a lot of comments that my eyes were pretty.. But I do not know whether that is because all double-eyelid surgery is like that, or because I was young and still had baby fat in my face, so there was that difference. Either way, I am satisfied now.
