I went after being introduced by an acquaintance to a place that does both function and cosmetic procedures, so I already knew what style of doctor I was going to see. First of all, they were incredibly meticulous in explaining what my nose was like and which surgical method would be good. When I told them the shape I wanted and the surgery method, they adjusted it again to match, and they also clearly said what could and couldn't be done, so it felt like a very realistic consultation, which I really liked!
