I had buried double-eyelid surgery 7 to 8 years ago, but to cut to the conclusion, the eye-opening correction came undone, so my ptosis was not corrected. The 7 mm lateral canthoplasty has almost no scar, but it has effectively reattached. They had been so confident, saying that even without incision it would have an effect on ptosis, but later changed their story and said buried double-eyelid surgery comes down over time and is a surgery that needs to be redone every 10 years, which made me angry.
