I tried Botox for the first time. Masseter Botox. For reference, I am a man.
Well, since it was the first day, I do not know whether it is effective yet, but for now it just feels fascinating haha.
Since it was my first time and because I am male, they said my muscles were large and told me to use domestic 100 units, so I just followed instructions haha.
At the dermatology clinic I visited right before that, they kept pushing all kinds of treatments and did not seem to examine my face properly, so I was disappointed, scared, and annoyed and almost skipped it, but I went in with the mindset of just stopping by one more place in Hongdae. The consultation coordinator was incredibly kind and examined me well, so I was persuaded and got it done. They did not keep telling me to get this and that, so overall it was fine (I have only been to two places, so maybe the other one was the weird one...).
But unlike the hospital I visited before, there was not really a separate consultation room; they looked at me at the counter.
As soon as I went in, I was doing a cold compress, and then a doctor? (The website says there is only one doctor at the hospital) came over, said to open my mouth and let them check the jaw muscle position, then fired three shots on each side and that was it.
It stung a bit and the feeling was fascinating, but I hope the effect shows up soon!!! For now, I want to see how the masseter Botox works and then try other procedures one by one.
I do not remember the exact price, but it was around the low 600,000 won range? It was not too burdensome.
