I went for a consultation to remove the ear cartilage in my nose. I had nasal inflammation that had subsided somewhat, and they said that if it improved with an antibiotic prescription, I might not even need revision surgery, so I only had the consultation and went home. When I asked whether there would be any side effects if I removed it, they said there would be almost none, but that the tip of the nose would sag a bit compared to before. They recommended that revision surgery should not be done at the same time as removal, but should be planned separately after removing it and checking the condition, because that would put less strain on the nose. They explained the removal surgery in an easy-to-understand way, so I felt relieved, but I was worried whether that was really true and whether there was any possibility of contracture, so I put the surgery on hold. I really wish it would just go back to how it used to be... T_T The doctor was kind and explained everything well.
