Why price matters is because I am a human being with 40% body fat, so the extra fees at each clinic were insanely high.. haha; At first, there were several doctors.. it was in Gangnam.. The interior also had this very brand-new feeling.. kind of Cheongdam-dong vibes.. So I was honestly a little scared. Somehow, being homegrown = good That kind of mindset made this my first cosmetic surgery experience, and it felt way too “Gangnam” for me, you know.. so my expectations and intention to actually have surgery basically dropped to zero. Why did I even learn about this place? It was not from Babitalk or anything like that, but when I was looking into butt fat grafting, I saw a review on this community that did not feel like a broker post, and that person said they had surgery with the chief doctor, so I think I had probably added it to my list. I have zero interest in fat grafting now, but if I had searched only liposuction and not fat grafting, I do not think I would have gone around to this clinic for consultations, because there were other more famous clinics that were mentioned more.. anyway, that random chain of events is how I ended up going for a fourth consultation..
Compared with the other clinics I visited first, the price was about 2 million won cheaper, and if the result is good then I can pay 2 million, but will it really be worth 2 million??? I was doubtful (because I was basically broke at the time..) + usually those kinds of clinics have the advantage of making the incision in a hidden place, but personally, I feel like liposuction scars nowadays seem to disappear within 2 years, so I wondered whether it was worth paying 2 million for that (about a year ago I got a burn scar the size of two fingernails from oil while working at McDonald’s frying fries, but now it has faded to the point that it is hard to find, so I had some belief in my skin’s healing ability, and since YouTubers showed their lipo stories and scars, most of them had almost disappeared) + they do machine-assisted and handmade together + they provide follow-up care at a level that is absurdly better than other clinics and scar treatment is unlimited (I live outside the capital region, so honestly this part does not benefit me, but somehow the fact that they are willing to take responsibility for a patient for more than 6 months felt good from the clinic’s perspective too, because with other clinics, if you ask whether they can show photos of the scar area after more than a year, one clinic said there were no follow-up photos because after the radiofrequency care one month later they never saw the customers again, which was a bit disappointing..) + because it is in Gangnam, it is nice to just come by for follow-up care when you are out and about + they only do two incisions in the front abdomen (other places at a similar price did three, even up to the pubic area..) + above all, it seemed like it would be a factory-style clinic, but the surgery reviews on this community were generally decent, the Babitalk reviews were also decent, and the Babitalk chats were decent too, and I kept getting stuck on whether this was a real review or whether the large clinic just does marketing better so the reviews look good.. it was all so confusing.. sigh.. so I went for another consultation (at first I only consulted with the manager, not the doctor)
When I first went to the clinic I consulted with before, I heard them say, "Your pelvis seems a little crooked?" I had never heard that in almost 30 years of living + I had never felt that way when looking in the mirror, so I just registered it mentally, but it seemed like it would matter for liposuction.. so at the second clinic, I asked first whether my pelvis being crooked would be a problem and they answered kindly but briefly + the third clinic did not mention pelvic misalignment at all. But here, the chief doctor looked at my body and immediately said that my navel was about 1 cm to the left of the body center, that my pelvis was tilted by about 10-15 degrees, and that one rib was higher than the other, probably because of the habit of carrying a bag on one side, and I just.. booked the earliest surgery date possible because I could not stand it..; and since I had already learned the answers to all the basic questions while researching liposuction, I asked some pretty odd questions, and they answered in great detail with a PowerPoint slide deck made from conference presentation materials. Also, I was not interested in being bone-thin, paper-thin arms, or paper-thin abdomen, so I wanted the design to suit my own taste? I thought a doctor at one of those [Gangnam major] clinics would say, no, with a price like this, do you expect me to do the surgery and also design it for you?? and just throw me out in disgrace lol, but not at all; they listened very well, even better than the expensive clinics.. of course, we will only know when the result comes out.. if I praise them this much and the result turns out terrible, that would be sad too, but I do not know. Among the clinics I visited, this one was the best both in terms of price and consultation, and I am so tired now that I do not have the energy to keep researching, so I am going to do it here
I had seen reviews saying the nurses in the operating room had bad personalities, so I was a little nervous when they told me to come after the blood test, but the nurse was very kind, which put me at ease again. Though I am not sure whether she was a nurse in the operating room. I do not know, I am going to do it here.. I will come back with a post-op review.. please take this as a reference (for what)
