But because I had used double eyelid tape, my eyelids were thin but stretched out, which was the problem.. Sure enough, the lines became uneven and gradually started coming undone. Back then I didn't have the financial room to get cosmetic surgery, so I think I just put up with it and lived with it. I only wore double eyelid tape sometimes when I had an important appointment or went to an acquaintance's wedding, and after doing that once or twice, my eyes became the kind where I couldn't go outside without double eyelid tape. Thinking about it, I felt wronged. I clearly had double eyelid surgery, but it all came undone, so why did I have to keep wearing double eyelid tape? That was how I felt... People who use double eyelid tape will know, but if you use it often, it stings, gets sticky, and hurts;; So as soon as I had time, I looked into revision surgery. I was also older than back then, and since I was doing it anyway, I wanted a clinic that would listen well to my opinions and where I could also do facial fat grafting.
As I went for consultations, my expectations of the director kept getting bigger;; I wanted my eye shape to look more open and refreshing, and because the area under my eyes looked hollow and like dark circles, I wanted that improved too. I lost more weight this summer, and since I lost a lot of facial fat, I wanted the volume filled in.
I had the revision surgery with the burial method too. But there was definitely something different from my first surgery: all the directors at every clinic agreed that my eyelids were thin. Here, they suggested doing the burial method while also removing eyelid fat, and at that point I realized that you really have to look carefully for a clinic.
In the end, I did under-eye fat repositioning + double eyelids + fat grafting together. Honestly, at first I didn't even have time to feel pain from the double eyelids because the areas where fat was taken hurt more;; lol The under-eye area swelled more than the double eyelids. So on the day of surgery, I went home wearing a mask with my hat pulled down low, and I didn't go anywhere until I received treatment at the clinic the next day. During treatment, I saw the director and received a swelling laser treatment. After my first double eyelid surgery, there was no treatment provided by the clinic after surgery, so I never went back, but this time I went as many as 3 times. I don't remember exactly which day after surgery I went..;; Anyway, it was nice to receive the swelling laser each time. I kept asking the director several times whether it looked like it had turned out well, and they never once acted annoyed and answered kindly.
Even on the day of surgery, the under-eye swelling was greater than the double eyelid swelling, but by day 10 it seemed like almost all the swelling had gone down. The hollow-looking impression disappeared too. Oh, the pain in the areas where fat was removed was almost gone from around days 3-4. Thanks to that, the pain from the double eyelid revision felt like it was almost nonexistent lolol Whether that's good or bad lolol
The long-awaited one-month mark lolol In the past, I could only barely get eyes like this if I plastered on double eyelid tape and wore makeup, but now my eye shape definitely looks more open and refreshing. When taking photos, a filter app used to be essential, but now my eyes come out big even with the basic camera. When the director said during the consultation that most swelling would be gone by one month, I didn't believe it 100%, but after experiencing it myself, now I completely trust it. I hesitated about surgery and just put up with it because I wondered what I would do if it came undone again after revision surgery, but if I knew it would be like this, I wish I had just done it sooner.... My face has volume now and the hollow under-eye look is gone, so my impression looks more lively too. Facial fat really seems like a love-hate thing.. In my early 20s I used to keep wishing it would disappear lol Anyway, if you also don't have much facial fat, please consider this too lol
