The hospital was huge. Since it was my first consultation, I wondered whether waiting that long was normal. The actual consultation time was very short, and they did not talk enough for me to judge the doctor’s expertise. At the time, I thought that meant it was not an upsell because the doctor did not recommend other procedures, but looking back now, there really was not much to say or ask about the surgery I was having, and it felt like they were simply not interested.
