I had my first surgery here in October 2014 after being discharged from the military. My eyes were ruined. I still cannot forget it. For my nose, I had it done by Director Lee So-young, who was in her 30s at the time and is no longer here now. It turned out well or badly aside, I was just satisfied with having a higher nasal bridge and kept living with it. But for my eyes, I only wanted to improve the sleepy look in my original impression, and I wanted to become someone with big eyes without double eyelids like the celebrity Nam Joo-hyuk, so I consulted with a doctor named Jeon Jeong-hwan at the time, and according to him, if I wanted to improve the sleepy look, I needed eye-correction surgery, and if I wanted eye-correction surgery, double eyelids had to be done together no matter what, even if only a hidden fold. So I asked if a hidden fold that looked almost like no double eyelids at all was possible, and he said no. I thought, oh, so it is impossible, I will just do the nose. But the consultant still told me to get a consultation with the chief director since I was already there, so I got a second consultation for the same area with Director Jeong Yoo-seok. For the same question, he answered very clearly and kindly, smiling that it was possible. I completely misunderstood and thought, ah, this is the chief director, so it must be possible because of his experience. I wanted a hidden fold that looked almost like no double eyelids, but it ended up being an obviously thick double eyelid, and the front canthoplasty left not only hook-shaped scars but also opened things too much, so my impression changed drastically and I ended up with an unnatural face that obviously looked surgically done. I was in my early-to-mid 20s, very interested in romance and wanting to live a better life for my own satisfaction, but for more than a year I could not even look at people’s faces directly from close up. I did not meet friends, and at an important time when I should have been running toward my dream, while others were doing something constructive for themselves, I wasted unnecessary time and money again on reversal surgery and revision surgery to restore my eyes. I am now in my 30s... and I still vividly regret it to this day. I have already had the double eyelids released at another hospital, and I have also had front-canthoplasty revision twice, but there is still a cosmetic issue with the inner corners of my eyes being puffy, so I am still paying the price for making the wrong first move.
