Only the consultation was good; in the end, the surgery was very disappointing.. At the consultation, I explained all the reasons I wanted revision surgery, and they gave me a detailed plan for how to solve it this way and that way, so I went ahead with surgery even though there were no reviews. But after the surgery, they were domineering, and throughout the follow-up they kept avoiding the problems. They say they will do revision surgery at the end, but you need to be able to trust the surgeon's skill before agreeing to revision surgery..
Everything they said they would fix at the consultation failed, and my eyes actually became worse than before. The inner corners formed a triangular shape with the apex slightly shifted outward on a diagonal line, and the asymmetry they said they would fix first even without me mentioning it became even worse. At another hospital they said the front line may have loosened, or that they may have made the line strangely, or that the adhesion may have gone wrong, but the front of the line is not smooth and is broken. Of course the front line also looks larger. I cannot believe that after such a long surgery and design process, this was all they could produce; it is shocking because they said during the consultation that everything could be done.
And among people who had surgery here, the rate of needing revision surgery or additional correction seems extremely high. It feels like corneal exposure appears every time someone has surgery here. Everyone I contacted and talked with after hearing around from another site had corneal exposure. In my case, it was opened by about 5 mm, and now at 7 months it is slightly open by less than 1 mm. If I get additional correction here and the corneal exposure becomes worse than it is now, that would be very hard.. Also, because this was incision surgery, many people have severe scarring as if they had double-fold surgery, so I gave up on getting additional correction here because I was too scared of what might happen to my eyes. I also currently have a deep incision line, and since there was almost no incision line in my previous surgery, I was very taken aback. Who has scars like this after surgery these days? I was sensitive about scar issues during the consultation, but they did not explain clearly that it would turn out like this; they dodged my questions by saying it would be similar to the current state and that open eyes are important, which made me so angry. Scar issues were important to me too, so if they had given me accurate information, I would not have had surgery here. Even now, the closed eye is distorted and the inner side of the eye is poked inward.. I do not even know why this is happening.. I should upload photos and write a review, but I cannot do that, which is disappointing.
At the final consultation, when I said the result had come out strangely in this and that way, the director also admitted it (if I wrote everything about my problem in detail, I would run out of space..). They are not refusing to do additional correction or anything like that, but I do not have the courage to do additional correction here, so when I tried to get up, they seemed uneasy and, as if worried I was dissatisfied, they said first that they would refund me, which surprised me. It has been a truly difficult recovery, and after not even being able to properly hear the director's explanation once, being glared at dismissively when I asked questions, even though it would all be fine if the result were good, being forced into another surgery because it turned out like this is just miserable.. Everyone, be sure to check reviews before having surgery. The director may not have a short career, but there was a reason there were no review photos at the hospital. One of my complaints about the previous surgery was that the mucous membrane was visible, and during the pre-surgery consultation at High Eye, I was told that the mucous membrane was already everted before surgery, but it was within the normal range so it would be hard to improve significantly; however, they would pay attention to it. Because I was told before surgery that it would not improve much, I said that after surgery the mucosal eversion had not actually improved, but the eyelashes were fixed to hang down a little, so the mucous membrane looked somewhat covered, and I guess they took that as me being satisfied.
Even if I generously accept that point and you say it got better, when I said before surgery that the line, eye opening correction, function, and everything else needed to be balanced so the surgery would score 90 points overall, for example, even if the line and function were 99 or 100 points, if the eye opening correction were 50 points, I would end up needing revision surgery, so the overall score had to be good for me to be satisfied with the surgery, the director agreed with me.
It sounds like you want to say that since one issue was solved, the surgery was fine, but that part was already explained before surgery as not likely to improve much, so I simply accepted the result for the mucosal eversion, and all the other parts became worse than before surgery, leaving my eye distorted and strange, and the whole eye shape turned into a distorted triangle, so I need another surgery. Is it not natural that I would conclude it was a failed surgery from my point of view? I am truly stunned at how anyone could say that because one thing improved, everything is fine.
At the last consultation, I thought you had accepted the result and brought up the refund first, but you still admitted the result, so since the surgery was indeed performed, I said I would not take the refund and left, but now that you are mentioning this separately, I am the one who is extremely confused.
