I got double eyelid surgery in Apgujeong in 2007 because it was said to be a good place, and I went all the way to Seoul for it. I was a student then, so I went to a place known for being good regardless of price because I didn't want my young face ruined. They recommended a buried suture method with front and back canthoplasty, so I had that done .. It was asymmetrical from the start, and when they removed the stitches they said it was uneven but would become even once the swelling went down, but 13 years later it's still the same. The left eye barely has any double crease left when I wake up in the morning. The back canthoplasty re-adhered completely after just 1 year. For the front canthoplasty, they bragged that they would make a tiny cut on the inner corner so the Mongolian fold would be removed naturally, but they left a scar that is very noticeable, and it opened by maybe 1 mm? I paid 2.3 million won for it back then.. sigh...
