It feels like it's been 3 to 4 years since the surgery. I had incision double eyelid surgery, inner canthoplasty, and forehead Botox. The reason I went was because they only point out the surgeries that are actually needed, and especially because they don't really recommend ptosis correction, so I went after searching a ton of articles about ptosis correction online. (At every other hospital besides this one, they recommended ptosis correction.)
I got double eyelid surgery when I knew nothing, and once the swelling went down the line got buried in the skin and wasn't visible. They made it too small, so I had revision surgery to make it bigger again. Even though I had it twice, there wasn't much scarring at all. No one can tell unless I say so. One eye was an in-out line and the other was an in-line, but the front part of the in-out eye loosened, so I'm just living with it. Maybe it's even more natural... anyway, annoying.. There was a nurse with very big eyes back then, and she was unbelievably unfriendly. I wonder if she's still there.
Anyway, if you want a specific eyelid line, you should make it clear during the consultation. My memory is fuzzy, but I think I lay down right away without any consultation before the surgery. They marked the line while I was lying down with something like a needle? And then the surgery started, but the doctor didn't show me that line. The inner canthoplasty doesn't really show. It only left a pale scar, and the epicanthic fold is still there.
Looking back over time, I didn't understand the Botox, but it helps train you out of the habit of using your forehead to open your eyes, and people who wear glasses often do that a lot. After double eyelid surgery, I recommend getting LASIK or keeping the glasses away and opening your eyes properly. Anyway, even though I had incision surgery, the front part of one eye loosened T_T I love the line so much, but it's a little disappointing
