I wrote this to clear up a misunderstanding I received by posting. The date of my consultation was July 15 at 10:00 AM. I had the consultation because of the YouTube appearance condition. (I also told the director that the reason I decided to have surgery was the surgery footage on YouTube and the fact that they personally reply to posts on the cafe.) I wore a mask. (At the hospital’s consideration.) I said I would appear. I am only writing the facts. (It was an appearance deal, but with a 20% discount and 80% paid out of my own pocket.) The hospital said they could provide Botox and skin-booster injections as a service if needed, but I said I would just go ahead because I was only looking at the director. Of course it would have been better to get more off, but that was not possible. However, I later wrote that due to personal circumstances, I would not be able to appear for the hospital. For this part, I asked whether it would be okay to discuss it on the day of the 15th, think it over over the weekend, and tell them on Monday the 18th. The manager agreed. Since this was a matter I was worried about, they told me that if I was that worried, I did not have to do it. Still, they did tell me that for their own acquaintances or friends, even showing the whole face would not matter because no one would recognize them and the mask would be fine. Of course that was also something I agreed to. At 1:57 PM on Monday, I said I would not be able to appear. First, I apologized to the manager for not being able to do it. But as soon as I said I could not appear, they said they would call me, and then they did call. I was eating during a family trip, so I could not answer right away and called back later. But then I was suspected of being the one who wrote on the community. (I am just a lurker with an ID.) They said the case fit me exactly. The manager said they found out because another member showed them the post. I thought they were monitoring it. I was shocked. I had not written the post at all. Looking at it now, I can understand why the review below could make me look suspicious. First, I can see why that could look like me, because I wrote in a group chat that the price is measured differently for each case in the first buried-eyelid surgery. And I also captured the surgery guide and said, “I’m getting it now too.” I think they saw the reservation deposit part in the capture and wrote it down. But acting suspicious toward a patient just because of that kind of thing seems wrong. I never once talked about the reservation deposit with the manager. In fact, I gladly paid it. I heard on the phone today that if you cancel four days in advance, it is refundable. So it seems that the deposit is not necessarily nonrefundable like in the post below. But my issue was the price difference, not the deposit. And I was still thinking about whether to go through with the appearance until the very end. The deposit was never mentioned even once. Still, I did not receive an apology, only suspicion, so I am posting this. They even said they would contact the community on my behalf. I did not receive an apology for being identified as the one involved; instead, only suspicion grew, so I am posting this. It is also true that I disclosed that it was the community. I openly discussed the discount with the manager, but was only told it was not possible. I did not disclose it to the doctor. For the pricing part, I was told to discuss it with the manager like this. So I said I had heard the manager was absent. But they said that a manager had appeared. And I heard on the 18th that the director and the manager do it together. Still, I do wonder why the director told me to talk to the manager in the first place. The director said I should talk to the manager about the discount, all along. And right now I have left the open chat. I also did write in the cosmetic-surgery open chat that I was not satisfied with the price of my first buried-eyelid procedure. Because I was on a family trip, I could not call back right away, but after thinking carefully, I decided I needed to set the record straight. If I need to apologize for something, I think it is right to apologize and also receive an apology. Rather, because of this, I even worried I might suffer surgical harm, so I ended up writing. On the 18th, when they called in the afternoon, I also said I would undergo the surgery. The only thing I did not write about was the YouTube appearance. If that is missing, I can see how it could be mistaken as similar.. Still, honestly, I guess feeling wronged is unavoidable. The hospital’s slogan is, “We respect you.” I respect the hospital too. That is why I decided to have surgery. Today’s behavior from the manager felt like, “We suspect you.” The strength of this cosmetic clinic is communication. That is why I told the director and ended up writing. The reason I told them was that I was worried they might misunderstand if they only listened to the director and the manager. Because I am the one who will be having surgery. The director seems like the kind of person who would say not to casually suspect people if he knew this. So I also want this part checked.
It may seem disorganized, but I only wrote the facts.
Above that, if I write my personal opinion, honestly, it felt like the manager played a bigger role in the pricing than the doctor. Still, even if this part was clearly the opinion of both of them, I wondered why the director said everything could just be handled with the manager. Personally, the director must be busy, but it felt better when I saw the whole picture at the beginning. Hospitals without a manager are not common, after all. That is why I went there in the first place.
Conclusion: the hospital recognized the situation and apologized. And there is currently no manager! It seems the hospital is also thinking about this a lot.
