I have monolid eyes and did not want to create a double eyelid, but I had a habit of opening my eyes with my forehead, so I decided to have surgery to correct that. They said my upper eyelid area was a little sunken, so I had an orbicularis oculi muscle flap procedure done at the same time. It was a very unfamiliar surgery I had never even heard of, so I was very worried, but the result seems fine. That said, my upper eyelid area now looks a little thick, so I'm worried.. And because it is really not a well-known surgery? I am still scared that there may be side effects later.. I also felt that the explanation was less detailed than for an upper blepharoplasty, so that made me even more uneasy. It has only been about 2 weeks since the surgery, so I am thinking the swelling has not gone down yet, but since this is my first surgery, I'm still scared... The hospital staff were mostly kind. The director has many years of experience, so I went into surgery without too much worry.
