I will leave a review while answering some questions I received after surgery haha. 1. Wasn't it scary? - Since facial contouring means cutting facial bones, I was very nervous and scared, but I had been stressed about my square jaw for so long that I wanted it reduced even more T_T Once I got on the operating table I was really scared, but the doctor said, “We’ll put you to sleep now~,” and when I woke up the surgery was over. 2. Postoperative care for swelling/bruising? - Surgery was performed on Saturday afternoon, May 23. I rested Saturday through Wednesday and went straight back to work Thursday. Wanting to reduce the swelling and bruising quickly, I used hot and cold compresses often, walked for two hours every day without missing a day, and drank lots of swelling tea from Olive Young! The doctor also said swelling and bruising differ from person to person! Since I live outside the city, they continued daily radiofrequency care and checked my progress at the clinic until I went back home, then provided more radiofrequency care when I returned a month later to have the stitches removed... Even though I am a busy office worker, the coordinator managed my aftercare better than I did 🥰 3. Can you eat properly? - On the day of surgery, my mouth would not open well while wearing the compression band, so I ate porridge. From the next day, I cut rice noodles and similar foods into small pieces. After about a week, I think I ate almost everything except extremely chewy or hard foods~ 4. Satisfaction - There is no need to say much... My satisfaction is 100 percent and beyond. You know that facial shape cannot show a dramatic effect from Botox, contour injections, gua sha, or anything else unless the bone is actually reduced, right? I strongly recommend surgery to anyone around me who is even slightly considering it because of their facial shape!! I even tell acquaintances that if I have a daughter someday and she inherits my jaw, I will take her to Bondi as soon as she turns 20... (Dr. Park Jeong-il, please keep operating for a very long time...) I am happily wearing the hats and sunglasses I could not use before haha. 5. Does it look like you had surgery? - Not at all. People I met for the first time after surgery did not even know I had surgery (of course? haha), and many said it looked so natural, as if I had always had this jaw. I was also worried about an overly pointed chin, but the doctor told me that considering my facial length, ear position, and overall proportions, my ears are positioned low, so even leaving some angle could not make me look overly pointed. I live far away, so I chose a date, went for a consultation, did not even consider consulting elsewhere, and immediately scheduled surgery at Bondi. That is how much you can tell how sincerely the doctor works on each person once you have a consultation T_T The coordinator also took such good care of me, so I am very grateful T_TT_TT_T The only thing I regret is not doing it earlier~ Other than that, I am extremely satisfied. If you are considering it, I recommend at least getting a consultation or CT scan at Bondi haha!
