I had my thighs and arms done at different hospitals 12 and 7 years ago, respectively, and have been dealing with complications for a long time, so I agonized over this abdominal liposuction too. I even took the train to Seoul for consultations, but after experiencing complications, I felt the most important thing was thorough post-operative care. Since I live in Busan, I chose a hospital with good accessibility.
It was a huge success. Even during the first two or three days, when swelling was at its worst, I barely swelled to the point of wondering, ‘Is this really the maximum swelling?’ Six years ago, I had a little fat removed from my lower abdomen for a body-line procedure, and only that area became visibly uneven and lumpy. This time, they treated the whole 360 degrees, love handles, and upper waist, smoothing even the area that had been touched before T_T.
When I first saw the surgeon’s face, I thought, ‘This face has the look of someone unquestionably skilled,’ and felt reassured, and my impression was right lol. If you’re not into physiognomy, please leave.. But that was genuinely my intuition;; haha.
I’m now past the third week, and it feels like almost all the swelling is gone. Bruising remains only about the size of a thumb on both the lower abdomen and the back of my waist. I only feel tightness when stretching the palm-sized areas on my sides; in daily life, I don’t feel it at all;;; The narrowest part of my waist became loose in the compression garment after just one week. I went to the hospital yesterday for my first post-operative care session, and my waist circumference had decreased by 3 centimeters T_TT_TT_T.
I can finally feel what successful liposuction is like after three attempts. I’m so happy. Every day before showering, I look in the mirror alone and play dress-up with one-piece outfits.
