I got my stitches removed today on day 8!! After the surgery, the bruising and swelling were severe, so it was a bit hard to open my eyes, but after getting the first stitches removed on day 5, the swelling kept going down quickly, and by around day 7, the bruising was almost all gone. There is still conjunctival edema remaining in my right eye, but it has gotten so much better compared to the beginning, so it’s not uncomfortable either! The surgical method at this hospital is different from other hospitals, so I think the swelling was especially worse, but if you just hang in there for one week, the bruising and swelling go down quickly, so I think everyone doesn’t need to worry.
