I got my first double-eyelid surgery in the mid-2000s from Dr. Kim Dong-hyeon with the buried-suture method, and it turned out naturally. However, I had a lot of fat in my eyes and my eyelids were thick, so it loosened quickly. I also had revision surgery at Yes, and I chose a different doctor. From what I remember at the time, I was told that his style was a bit more glamorous than Dr. Kim Dong-hyeon’s, so I chose him. I had an incision and fat removal, and although the result was a little uneven, I figured perfect symmetry does not really exist anyway, and I was satisfied because the incision line healed neatly. More than 10 years later, as my eyelids have sagged and the line has become covered, I am considering revision surgery. But when people around me still ask why I would redo double-eyelid surgery, it is clear that the surgeon really did have skill.
