I found this hospital while looking into revision surgery at 6 months after a non-open nasal tip revision failed and left a denting side effect (there was no inflammation or contracture). At the time I was making my on-site consultation list, I did not even know the name of the place. Of the hospitals on the list I made, one consultation was a huge disappointment, one said they would not even do a consultation until 6 full months had passed, and one was so outrageously expensive that I looked for another hospital. Then I found a blog post by Director Park Seong-woo about improving a nose with a case similar to mine, and I went to the consultation almost as if drawn there.
Even now, the reason I think it was truly fate is that this director was the only one who pinpointed the cause of my nose problem accurately. Other places just suggested generic solutions similar to what everyone else gets, but this doctor properly analyzed why the denting had appeared. Even though I had not mentioned that my nose had undergone laser fat removal, because I had forgotten that myself, he precisely pointed out that the side with the dent looked like the fat layer was thinner!! At that moment I immediately thought this was the place. That sensitivity and sharpness in noticing a problem I had not even told him about.. And he showed me directly by pulling on the side of the nose with a cotton swab, drew it out for me, and explained in detail what surgery would be done, one step at a time.. I have never once seen someone number the steps from 1 to 5 and write out the surgical order like that lol. I had never expected such a perfect and highly professional consultation, so for me it was a whole new world.
After that, when I talked with the consultation manager about the cost, they showed me the fixed-price sheet exactly. Each item had a base price and an event price listed separately, and it felt like an honest hospital. Since this was a revision surgery, the cost was a bit steep.. but there were even more expensive places, so it still fell within the maximum amount I had in mind.
The staff are not the kind who are super soft-spoken and wrapped in friendliness, but they are still friendlier than average. The director also is not the type who feels extremely sweet, gentle, and warm, but still comes across as bright and reasonably friendly. And I think professionalism and accurately understanding and matching the patient's needs matter more than friendliness.
The hospital facilities are neat and the spaces are well separated, which is good, but I was a little disappointed that the operating room was directly connected through one automatic door. The facilities themselves are clean, and the location is very good.
My expectations for the surgery are still with swelling remaining, but I am very satisfied, satisfied, satisfied! Still, there is one thing that is disappointing, so I gave four stars. My nostrils were already very asymmetrical before surgery (and became severely asymmetrical after the non-open surgery), and even though they said they would align them as much as possible, they are still a bit asymmetric.. The nose itself feels slightly shifted to the right? But it is so subtle that honestly nobody notices lol. Even my family does not notice. It is just me looking in the mirror and feeling disappointed.. Still, I am disappointed, so I took off one star..
Anyway, the director's skill really seems legendary. Even the facial-reading aspect feels like he studied a lot, like a pure study nerd. He has a clear and clean impression. He gives a trustworthy image. Just looking at the confidence to photograph the immediate postoperative result he performed and upload it to the blog without any retouching.. his skill seems proven. There are many different cases on the blog.
