I had upper blepharoplasty about 2 months ago. My eyes had been operated on with the buried-suture method 15 years ago, but they had started to droop, so I decided on double-eyelid surgery to improve the sagging area. During the consultation, they said they would make it to match my existing double-eyelid line. I had also had a very natural, successful result the first time I got double-eyelid surgery. Since they said they would take care of it well on their own during the consultation, it was more expensive than other places, but I decided to do it thinking it would be better to do it properly. On the day of surgery, they removed eye fat that had not been mentioned during the consultation, which surprised me. Instead of matching the existing inner line, they made the center part of the eye too large, so my family’s reaction to the unnatural look was the worst. As the swelling went down, it seems they had removed fat from the eyelid that had originally been thin, and sunken eyes started. Right now the sunken eyes have become so severe that in the afternoon it is uncomfortable to open my eyes. The line is also strange, the inner eye fold has become darker, and people around me say I look 7 years older. From the day of surgery until now, I have been extremely stressed every single day. I went back after they told me to visit two months later, and they said things like, “Anyone can see the eyes are badly sunken, but it’s fine,” “Getting forehead Botox will adjust the force used to open the eyes and make it better.” They are saying these absurd things. My impression has become odd, the sunken eyes make me look older, and after two months of stress in this situation, they want me to pay a 10,000 won consultation fee. The doctor was unfriendly on the day of surgery, but most of the nurses were kind, especially one very tall nurse who was truly kind. I’ll leave out the description of appearance.
