This is not the kind of main procedure(?) that a lot of people do, so I should have visited many clinics and decided carefully, but since it was my first surgery I did not know that well. I really regret getting it done without researching enough. It has been a while since the surgery, so I am not sure how it is now, but the reception staff were rather unfriendly, and the director was not especially kind during the consultation either. Because everyone’s left and right facial symmetry is different, the director should have considered that when marking the dimples, but instead they used a textbook approach: connecting the endpoint of the mouth corner to the endpoint of the eye corner and saying the crossing point is where the dimples should go. Maybe that is correct in theory, but they should have considered each person’s facial structure when deciding the position. In the end, the dimples are uneven when seen from the front and the positions are different. The right side is marked lower, and the left side is farther back and higher up. Anyone can see it is asymmetrical, and people around me keep saying it looks wrong and uneven, which is really stressful. Two days or so after surgery, I got anxious and called the hospital. During the pre-op consultation the consultation manager was so kind and kept saying yes, yes, that is right, but when I called saying it seemed the surgery had gone wrong, they seemed like they might have to issue a refund, and they completely stopped listening empathetically to what I was saying and their attitude changed from the consultation. I understand the hospital has its own position, but I think this is something that should be improved as part of aftercare. When I went to have the stitches removed, I told the director about the asymmetry, and they easily said to just loosen one side. But I paid the price for both sides of the dimples, so if one side is loosened, will they refund the remaining half?^^ I did not even want to ask for a partial refund because it was not a huge amount, but that response was a bit much.. Well, it is my own fault for not doing proper research and rushing into surgery.. I have not had other surgeries or procedures at this hospital, so maybe they are good in other areas?
