I had a facelift last year. After surgery, I developed very extensive bruising, and I had high hopes, but I am still not very satisfied. I thought my cheeks would lift in a sharper way, but they still look quite saggy. They said the swelling will improve over time because it goes down lower, but.... Also, the incision line looks like a line in front of the ear, more or less, but there is still quite a bit of visible scarring, and behind the ear it is really lumpy, so I wonder whether it will actually go away with time. The earlobe shape also changed oddly. Every time I look in the mirror, I feel unsettled. And the hair is shaved during surgery. So for one or two months it looks extremely bad and is very bothersome. ============== This is my review after one year. The scars are still lumpy, and after a year the swelling has mostly gone down. Looking at the lifting effect, it is not that there is no effect, but the range is too small. I was told in advance that it would not help the nasolabial folds, so I did not expect that, but it also does not improve the jowls, the nasolabial line, or things like that. It has an effect only on an area about the width of two fingers directly below the sideburns. In other words, the side of the face is pulled, but the front of the face stays the same.
