Filler Reviews

Mikay clinic review

I really went with zero expectations. At the time I had no money, so I looked for a place on Yeoshin Ticket that was running a lip filler event and went there. They were selling lip volume filler and lip corner filler separately. At first I paid only for the lip volume filler, but while I was there and getting the consultation, I added the lip corner filler too, and I also changed the filler type to a different one as well, though it was still switched from a domestic filler to another domestic filler. That is how the final payment ended up like that.

But during the consultation they kept pushing masseter Botox and also, for the dimpled chin, I do have one, and maybe Botox for the deep cheek area? They kept saying there was something like wrinkles or sagging skin or shadows on both sides of my mouth anyway, though I do not even have that, and kept recommending that I absolutely should do those too, so it was hard to refuse... I came prepared to add the lip corner filler, so I said okay to that, though I had no intention of changing the filler type... Still, consultations are hard T_T I regretted even getting one T_T I should have just gotten the procedure quickly and left T_T I had such a hard time saying no...

Anyway, separate from the consultation, I was happy with the procedure. In fact, this was my 5th time in my life? My 5th lip filler treatment, so I was not even worried about pain. I showed the director a photo of the style I wanted, and while comparing the lips in the photo with my own lips, he explained the differences and clearly told me why it could not be done identically from a structural standpoint. I just said to make it as close to the photo style as possible, (since I had come for an event promotion in the first place, I had no expectations and was very relaxed) and then, once the procedure started, it was really just done in a flash, click-clack, slash, tap, and finished! It felt like that, not like a delicate, stitch-by-stitch kind of thing, but the result was so much my style. A twist...

Of course, in the middle they kept having me look in the mirror and did the basic check of whether to add more or not. But the hand movements during the procedure felt really brisk and decisive. I was surprised that the result was so satisfying despite the light touch. I felt that the director's aesthetic sense matched mine.

And while wrapping up, he said that fillers are better when done in small amounts at short intervals, because they look more natural and the retention is better too. I agreed with that too. So I thought I would come back next time... but...

I got the filler on May 4. Now it is July 3. The filler disappeared faster than I expected. The volume had already gone down a lot long before now. No matter how domestic it was... No matter how fast lip fillers fade... It really disappeared way too fast. I started thinking a lot.

Even if I were to go there again and get it done with an imported filler, all things considered (whether there is an extra charge for choosing the director? how much are imported fillers?) it might actually be better to just get it done somewhere else... maybe at a better place I had already been considering...
