I had a Double-Up Hi-Co procedure and was extremely satisfied at first. However, I never thought I might end up with the Hi-Co side effect I had only heard about. The bridge of my nose turned red, making it look like keloid-prone skin, and inflammation started to build up. I could see pus collecting, but I thought it would get better soon, so I just kept DuoDERM on it. Then it got so bad that I made a hospital appointment. Sure enough, the day before I went to the hospital, the pus burst and started flowing out. I removed all the pus myself at home, disinfected it, and put DuoDERM on again. Then I went to the hospital the next day, but all they said was the same thing. "It is because of the thread. If it does not come out naturally, it cannot be removed." Because of this side effect, I went to the hospital three or four times, and every time they said the same thing. It was stressful beyond belief. Just imagine having a red scar about 0.5 to 1 cm on the bridge of your nose. Of course I was angry.. But what annoyed me most was that the doctor acted pitiful, as if they were a good person trying to help, saying there was nothing they could do. Once or twice, fine, but by the third time I heard it, I was really angry.
Still, the hospital itself seems to be trying to take responsibility for the side effects until the end... They say they will provide laser treatment if a scar forms, but I will have to see whether that is just talk or something they really do.
Still, the advantages are: I like the shape of my nose. I was worried about having a long midface, and it definitely looks a bit shorter. When I went in because of the inflammation, they gave me an anti-inflammation injection. Reservation handling and chat consultation are extremely fast and friendly.
P.S. A thread that had been causing problems recently was sticking out, so I removed it myself at home lol. It was not just a little bit sticking out, but really a lot, so I could remove it on my own (I had just been going around with makeup on and keeping DuoDERM on it because I was afraid it would scar, but I guess I was lucky when changing the DuoDERM and it came out then!). Normally, if something can be felt, it is right to go to the hospital and have it removed!
