I did my homework and visited this place as my second in-person consultation. I consulted with Director Kim Do-hoon, and he explained everything I asked about kindly and clearly, so the consultation felt comfortable. He said both buried sutures and incision methods were possible, but considering the eyelid sagging, he thought a surgery with about a 3 mm incision would be more suitable, though he said scarring would be unavoidable. He said if I chose the buried-suture method, the retention period would be about 3 years, while the incision method would last about 10 years, and that I was not yet at the point of needing a brow lift. He also said that even with an incision, since there is currently about 7 mm of eyelid sagging, there would be some room left in case of a revision surgery. The inner corner line of my eyes is originally on the higher side, so if that part were preserved the overall line would end up looking a bit higher and might give a too-heavy impression, but the incision line he drew was not something I liked either, because it felt too much like an extremely thin single eyelid or barely there double eyelid, so I liked the buried-suture line itself. I think he may have misunderstood my explanation about that part, or it was conveyed incorrectly as if I preferred a higher line. What I meant was that the buried-suture line was not perfect either, but the incision line felt even more like a barely visible single eyelid or a very shallow double eyelid, so I meant that the buried-suture option was better than that, and he seems to have misunderstood it.
Right after the director consultation, I went straight into a consultation with the manager, and the prices seemed to vary wildly. In a local moms' cafe community I clearly saw natural adhesion with 4 stitches for the 500,000 won range, and Baribotalk was around the same level too, but they said it would be 1,210,000 won, or 1,000,000 won if I booked that day, so I thought the estimate was way too elastic. Also, among the people waiting there was someone rather elderly, and since I could not tell exactly what was going on I cannot judge properly, but seeing that they kept talking with the manager in the waiting room, I also felt a bit worried about whether I would actually get to meet the doctor properly when I came in after surgery. In the end, it was decent but not so appealing that I felt strongly drawn to it, so I am putting it on hold for now.
