Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

Male implant-free nasal tip surgery rhinoplasty review, 1 month post-op

1. Reason I did it

I had a slight hump and my nasal tip was low, so I wanted my nose to look a bit more defined and the line to look nice from the side

For the nasal bridge, I think it was just average, but the bones on both sides were a bit thick, so from the front the bridge was slightly not visible

  2. Reason I chose the hospital

So I went for consultations at several places around Gangnam,

The biggest reason I chose Dareum Plastic Surgery was that the consultations were friendly overall

(The other hospitals weren’t unfriendly either, but basically many had a very busy and hectic atmosphere

Especially the larger hospitals were like that, and maybe because of that, during consultation I felt like I had to hurry up and leave quickly

I got that feeling quite a lot)

But at this hospital, because they consider sufficient communication during consultation the most important thing, it felt like the consultation proceeded comfortably

They said that if you actually have surgery, the surgery start time might be delayed a little because of consultations. That means they don’t just end the consultation because the scheduled time is up.

And aside from that, both Directors Moon Yu-jin and Song Jin-woo have been board-certified plastic surgery specialists for over 10 years,

I also heard somewhere about ghost surgery, but since this felt like a private clinic with two specialists, I thought it would be okay,

There is also CCTV in the operating room, and from my perspective as someone visiting a place like this for the first time, many consultation managers at other places were pretty but looked like they had undergone a lot of surgeries and procedures, whereas here they were very natural-looking beauties.

 3. Consultation review

After getting the consultation, I was actually so anxious about silicone that I kept worrying about it

The director said implant-free surgery without silicone was also possible

So he recommended doing the nasal tip with autologous cartilage, and since the area between the nasal tip and nasal bridge would become depressed, filling that part a little with cartilage too

The part where I felt there was no overtreatment was when I was torn between my desire for a high nasal bridge and my fear of silicone,

there was no pressure, and he said there are methods to raise the bridge near the glabella with autologous dermis or temporal fascia(?), but he only suggested them as options

And since my hump was not severe, he said we could proceed without necessarily shaving it down, and although the bones on both sides of the nasal bridge were indeed a little thick,

he said they were not to the extent that osteotomy was necessary

Also, my nose was very slightly deviated. I actually learned that for the first time. It was that slight, and he said there was no need to correct that either

*When consulting, he not only looked at the CT images but also closely examined and palpated my face while consulting, which I really liked

  4. Surgery

After sedation anesthesia, I woke up and the surgery was over lol

 5. After surgery

Right after surgery, my nose felt very tight, as if it had been pulled up strongly

I couldn’t really see the shape because it was full of a splint and taping

Maybe because I was still under anesthesia, it didn’t hurt much

but it was uncomfortable because my nose was packed full of cotton

At 1 week, once the splint and taping were removed, I felt much more alive

My nose was just somewhat uncomfortable, and if I accidentally touched it, it hurt a bit

They used ear cartilage, and even from 2 places..

But it really didn’t hurt much, strangely

When the splint came off, my nose was really standing there, very assertive

I was really happy it was higher, but I was a bit worried

Before I even said anything to the director, he told me not to worry because it would naturally come down

In fact, as time passed, within 1 month it seemed much more natural

 5. Satisfaction

Honestly, since I tried not to be too greedy and wanted to do it naturally and safely,

I don’t think there was a hugely dramatic change

Especially from the front, because I didn’t touch the nasal bridge or do osteotomy, that is even more true

but from the side, the nose line definitely became prettier, so I’m satisfied

And as time passes, the area above the nasal tip feels slightly indented rather than the original straight line

I wondered, shouldn’t it be straight? But my friend said it actually looks much more natural,

so I think that’s right
