3-week review of bulbous nose surgery

I was worried about my bulbous nose, having no nasal bridge, and my nose being too small, but for almost a year I only lurked on plastic surgery apps and saved posts. Then I decided to have surgery with the mindset that winter break in college is long, so I should just do it when I have enough time!

When I looked at reviews, all the noses I thought were pretty had gone through the hands of the same director. I thought that if I had surgery, I wanted to get it from this person, and once I decided to have surgery, I booked a consultation at that hospital right away without even hesitating! The front desk staff and the consultant were so kind, and the wait wasn’t that long, so that was nice. Just like other reviews said, they explained only the parts that were really necessary, point by point, and all I could think was that I wanted to have surgery quicklyㅎ Having a separate anesthesiology director, so I could trust them with general anesthesia, and having CCTV in the operating room were also big advantages.

On the day of surgery, I had another detailed consultation and then underwent surgery. Maybe because it was general anesthesia, when I woke up I felt dizzy like I was carsick, and breathing through my mouth wasㅠ no words, no words. My whole mouth was dry, but I couldn’t even drink water, so it was really hardㅠㅠ Thankfully they removed the cotton after just one day.. After that, for about a week, my nose ran and was blocked! They said that rather than blowing my nose when it’s blocked, it’s better to sniff it back and spit it out through the mouth, you know? I didn’t know how to spit it out, so I just swallowed itㅎㅋ And the feeling of mucus running inside my nose was sooooo itchy, so I gently absorbed it with a sterile cotton swab.

On day 5, I had the splint removed, and everyone says the Avatar nose is shocking, but I was just happy about the fact that it had gotten higher. It was swelling that would go down anyway. I wasn’t worried at all and was just happy. From the day the splint came off, the swelling along the nasal bridge went down quickly, and now it seems like it’s only left at the nasal tip!

I asked for it to look natural because I was afraid that if my nose became too flashy, I might want to touch other areas too, and it turned out so pretty and natural!! I was worried that if the nose got higher, the nostrils would also look longer and show a lot from the front, but they said they wouldn’t show more than now. And for sure, from the front, my nostrils look the same as before! (thankfully) Honestly, after getting nose surgery, what I like as much as my side profile is the nostril shape!! They became moderately slim and nicely shaped like kidney beans(?), symmetrical too, and I can’t believe selfies taken from below can look this pretty. My nose looks pretty from north, south, east, and west>< My friend also said that after seeing me post-surgery, I got prettier, so I’m really satisfied
