I had removal surgery here last year because I was dissatisfied after nose surgery at another hospital, and I also had my alar base reduced at the same time. The manager kept saying the alar base would absolutely never get bigger. Keloids would never happen. Even men would never get them. They guaranteed it with ironclad confidence, and the doctor also said they would absolutely never happen. They said the suturing technique was the best, so I kept doubting and asking about it several times before going ahead...
First of all, the surgery is performed while you stay fully conscious the whole time, and during the alar reduction I really wondered how carelessly the doctor handles a person's head. It was so unpleasant that I felt humiliated, as if I were being treated like an animal. For the alar base too, they criticized other cases for not doing it in the alar groove and said there would be no scar, but mine was done too high above the alar base, and even a year later I am still living with needle marks and knife marks. And in the early stage I spent money going to dermatology clinics and getting laser treatment, which is why it has faded this much... Later the manager said, "When exactly do I get a scar?" and the doctor said there was nothing they could do. If they were that confident, they should take responsibility too. I still have a side-profile complex because of this scar... People I know tell me the needle marks look like my nasal pores are just too large, and that the scar looks like I have a buildup of sebum in my nose... but the truth is it looks that way because it is indented and shadowed, and realizing that really broke me. I had high hopes, but this place left me with equally big wounds.
