I spent nearly an hour in consultation, so I really put the doctor through it.Because I am such a scaredy-cat, I decided to go all in once with autologous costal cartilage, with the mindset that there would be no revision surgery in my life.I had already visited other hospitals, so I knew autologous costal cartilage was expensive and was prepared for that.I trusted the doctor, lay down on the cold operating table, slept soundly, and woke up.The most surprising thing after surgery was how little swelling and pain I had, to the point that I could return to daily life very quickly.For the whole time I had been worrying about surgery, I watched every single plastic surgery vlog on YouTube, and they all showed faces puffed up, bruised, unable to open their eyes, and bleeding heavily, which made me terrified.Of course, the week before removing the packing was rough, but unlike in other reviews and vlogs, my face never got extremely swollen, never bled out, and I was never in serious pain.It seems the doctor really performs surgery with great care and delicacy.To exaggerate a little, it was so not swollen that I wondered whether the surgery had actually been done properly lolAs for care tips, I ate a completely clean diet (chicken breast, instant rice, leafy greens), drank three pumpkin juices a day, and walked 5,000 to 10,000 steps every day <- maybe that’s why the swelling went down quickly...By the second week, the bruising had completely disappeared and the big swelling in my face was gone, so I started meeting people again. People could tell something had changed, but they couldn’t really tell what had been done, so I could get back to daily life right away.By one month, it felt like the result had fully settled into my face. Except for the nose tip, it felt like there was basically no swelling at all? Maybe because I emphasized a hundred times that I wanted it natural, but even after just one month it came out so naturally that people around me didn’t realize I had surgery, and I’m totally satisfied now.(These days, “looking refined” and even making it obvious you had surgery seem to be trends, so for some people that might be a downside.)Still, I did ask for a natural result, and as you can see from the before-and-after photos, the doctor made it beautifully on his own.I really recommend it if you like this understated aesthetic.The after photos: the short-haired one is at 3 months, and the tied-hair one is at 4 months.From other reviews, it was hard to tell exactly what was different because they were edited and had makeup on, so this is embarrassing, but I’m posting a 100% real, honest version so it can be used as a reference.I used autologous costal cartilage, and if I remember correctly, the silicone was not used very high (I don’t remember).Nothing else minor was done.Sincerely, I do regret not making it a little higher... but the saying that the nose you love most is the one before the swelling goes down is probably a regret everyone shares lolSo far, there seem to be no side effects at all.I also didn’t have many things done to begin with, and Dr. Lee Joo-cheol seems to prioritize safety rather than doing too much, which is reassuring.In some places, apparently only the nurse handles stitch removal or follow-up care, but here the doctor himself comes out directly, checks the progress carefully, and I feel reassured because he really pays attention.I’ve gained a lot of self-esteem after the nose surgery, and people around me also compliment my looks a lot, so I’m living very satisfied.If you are thinking about nose surgery, I recommend getting a consultation at Begin.It’s not just the coordinator you meet; you can have a thorough, comfortable consultation with the doctor too.The hospital is also clean, spacious, and comfortable, so every time I go I just sit around for about an hour without pressure, like a little recharge.
