A review of posterior/lower canthoplasty + revision epicanthoplasty that I’m writing again now that it’s been one month before/after! Anything that hurt or bothered me healed a while ago, and now I’m just waiting for the stitch scars to heal quickly..!!. Before surgery, I was always worried because I had to draw my eyeliner out really long and wear heavy eye makeup every day, so I ended up getting posterior canthoplasty and epicanthoplasty. I wanted natural-looking eyes, but the reason I chose a clinic known for a more glamorous style was that I thought it would make the surgery feel more worthwhile to ask a place that opens the eyes well to keep it natural, rather than asking a place that makes things barely noticeable to make them more defined. Also, they’re apparently famous for canthoplasty that doesn’t reattach easily, so I decided to do it there! At first I was only thinking about posterior canthoplasty, but the director recommended doing epicanthoplasty together, and it was truly the best decision... I don’t think I would have been this satisfied if I hadn’t done it. The director and consultant emphasized a lot that because this surgery is done by making an incision at the outer corner of the eye, the eye shape can look lowered, so I kept that in mind carefully before deciding. I used review photos of this clinic that I saw in a community as references when explaining the design, and after the director said they understood, I went into surgery haha. I think it’s about 80-90% healed now, and once the redness fades a bit more and the scars disappear, I’m going to retake my ID photo too!
