Eye Surgery Reviews

6 weeks after double eyelid surgery…

It’s been 6 weeks since my lateral canthoplasty, partial incision, and under-eye fat repositioning surgery, and I’m posting because I’m so stressed out… From the start, I repeatedly said I wanted a natural result and not a high line, and when we were designing it, I also told them the line in my right eye seemed higher, but the doctor said it wasn’t high, so we went ahead as planned. I was told the design would take about 30 minutes, but in reality it took less than 10 minutes, and it felt rushed, so I just went with it, and I really regret that part too Even now at 6 weeks, the right side is thicker, it still feels uneven, the line is higher than I expected, and it looks like sausage eyes… The scars are still red, raised, and bumpy, so that bothers me too. I also had under-eye fat repositioning, but I even feel like the outer corners of my eyes got lifted, so overall my impression looks so different that I’m really depressed… I only wanted a subtle improvement in my impression, but now it feels worse than not having done it, which makes it even harder People say it gets better with time, but 6 weeks have passed and it doesn’t seem like there’s been much change, so I’m even more anxious. I’m going back tomorrow for the 1-month follow-up, and I’m wondering whether I should get a scar injection at least, or whether I should keep waiting. Has anyone else been in this state at 6 weeks and later naturally settled down? Or at this point, is there something I should do? I keep thinking maybe I shouldn’t have had surgery at all, and it’s been really hard lately
