4th eye surgery after upper eyelid fat repositioning + incisional double eyelid surgery gone wrong, finally a success!

I live overseas, and my first double eyelid surgery was in March 2018: epicanthoplasty + partial incision + ptosis correction, done as a semi-out line. My eyelids loosened, so at the end of September 2024 I had a second surgery: upper eyelid fat repositioning + revision semi-out line + ptosis correction + lower eyelid fat repositioning + fat grafting. But the incisional part loosened again in about 3 to 4 months, and in 2025 the place that did my second surgery said they would handle the aftercare, so I came back to Korea after 6 months for the aftercare. During the consultation, the doctor said it had loosened, but that it was also not bad enough that I had to live with it, which was nonsense. And when I had surgery there in 2024, they had said they were absolutely confident they could make a semi-out line, but that upper eyelid fat repositioning was definitely necessary, so I had the fat grafting done. When I came for aftercare, they said my eyes were sunken eyes and that they were originally not suitable for a semi-out line, so I should just do an in-out line, blaming my eyes again. Then when I asked if they could remove the lumpiness from the upper eyelid fat work, they refused, saying, "Then if we take out what was put in, your eyes will become sunken, so what are you going to do? You just have to live with it." I was so stunned by the doctor's attitude that I honestly even thought about not doing it, but I had come from the U.S. on leave and had trusted the aftercare, so I had not looked into other hospitals and just decided to go ahead. Also, the lower eyelid fat work from here now makes my eyes look even more sunken than before the surgery, and on one side the fat has already bulged out again -_- But during the 2024 surgery consultation I had clearly been told that aftercare would be free, and as soon as I contacted them about needing aftercare they said the surgery itself was free, but I had to pay for the medicines and equipment used during the operation -_- They billed me 550,000 won... Everyone, when you go around for consultations, do not just believe that aftercare is free; make sure you check whether there are extra costs. And during the aftercare consultation, when I asked whether they would give me an ice pack like they had after the surgery six months earlier, they said they do not give that during aftercare and told me to buy one for 5,000 won... I was annoyed, but I just bought it and used it. The aftercare was done as a mild inner-in-out partial incision. When I went to remove the stitches, there was no doctor checkup or anything, they just told me to take the stitches out and go. I still thought maybe it would be fine this time, but my eyes were still uneven, and one eye's ptosis correction seemed not to have worked well, so opening that eye felt heavy. So in April 2026, one year later, I took three weeks off again and contacted several plastic surgery clinics on KakaoTalk to ask roughly whether upper eyelid fat removal was possible. Then I narrowed it down to five places and booked consultations. Only the place where I had surgery gave me a reply in KakaoTalk saying that removal might or might not be possible depending on the layer into which the fat had been injected. They also said the fat clumping area was somewhat unusual. At the other places, they all just replied like, "Yes, we do fat removal, but the director has to see you in person." A family acquaintance works in the entertainment industry, and they said that a famous idol company sends many people there for eye revision surgery! They had asked around because I kept failing eye surgeries. I am really grateful! The decisive reason I chose to have my third, fourth, and now fifth eye surgery at this hospital was that during the consultation, the director felt my eyelid and said that the upper eyelid fat was not clumped fat, but seemed to be visible because the upper eyelid fat repositioning had been done in too shallow a layer, and that they would probably need to open it up and check directly. When I said I had never discussed upper eyelid fat repositioning with the doctor during the previous surgery, they said some doctors do it without mentioning it... And because my eyes are sunken eyes and a semi-out line is difficult, they said it was not impossible if combined with upper canthoplasty, and they drew two possible lines: one at 1 mm and one at 1.5 mm higher. I like glamorous things, so I chose the higher of the two lines they drew, the 1.5 mm line. When I asked whether there was any possibility of a sausage-eye look, they said there was some possibility if they raised it 1.5 mm higher, but with a smile said, "If you want it, we should do it," and promised to do their best to avoid a sausage-eye result. The director was extremely kind and explained everything in detail, even drawing pictures. And because the lower eyelid fat surgery had only been done one year ago, and the hollowing and bulging of fat did not yet look severe enough to require doing it again, they recommended waiting a bit longer. So I felt this was the place, and as soon as the consultation ended I started arranging the surgery schedule. The day I wanted was not available, but they said the afternoon of that day was possible, so I paid immediately and decided on same-day surgery. This time, the procedures I had were re-revision eye surgery (incisional) + ptosis correction + upper eyelid fat repositioning + upper canthoplasty. Before the surgery, they redid the line and the sketch, and used a ruler-like tool to match both sides as symmetrically as possible; that alone took almost 30 minutes. During the surgery, the director said the previous doctor had done the upper eyelid fat repositioning in too shallow a layer, so when I closed my eyes or used force, the eye muscles pushed the fat and made it look clumped, and that they would reposition it again in a deeper layer. They said the left eye was raised by 1.5 mm to a total height of 9.5 mm, and the right eye had a much lower line, so to match symmetry they raised it by 2.5 mm to make it 9.5 mm as well. They also said the ptosis correction was made a little tighter on the right eye, and because the left eye was shorter horizontally than the right eye, they did more upper canthoplasty to make the eye lengths as similar as possible. You can tell how meticulous the director is by the number of stitches. There were 20 stitches per eye lol. When I had full incision surgery at the place where it went wrong before, there were only 5 or 6 stitches. Today is 25 days since the surgery. I had a friend's wedding on the weekend, so I did not put makeup on the eyelids, only applied false eyelashes and did under-eye aegyo-sal makeup. Everyone said that since only three weeks had passed after incisional surgery, there was almost no swelling and it turned out amazingly well, and they asked where I got it done. Because it was an incision surgery, the surgical area is still hard and the sensation has not fully returned, but the upper eyelid fat lumpiness is gone, the line is much clearer, and the symmetry is better than before, so I am incredibly happy.
