When I was young, my nose was hit by a glass and bent from the trauma. As I got older, the bone gradually sank, and the problem was that because my nose was bent inward, it was very hard to sleep on my right side. In fact, the functional problem was more uncomfortable than the appearance, so I started considering surgery. I work in a field related to the body, so even from YouTube and other information I can usually get a rough sense of whether a doctor is skilled or not. After watching the video, I liked the director's approach and philosophy about surgery, so I had a consultation and ended up having the operation around mid-February. Appearance was secondary; the first thing I considered was that the risk of revision surgery had to be zero. There are too many places that do sloppy work and too many that do not take responsibility afterward, so even if complications happen, it is entirely the patient's burden. Since it was a big cost and a major surgery, I looked very carefully at who I should trust with it. My skin is fragile, so the risk of revision after cosmetic surgery was my biggest concern. I told the director this during the consultation, and he spoke very honestly and reassuringly, which made me trust him. The second point was functional improvement. Because I always slept only on my left side, my shoulder hurt badly, and the left side kept getting worse functionally, so I knew I had to change the way I slept. During the consultation, they examined me in detail and the director explained the inside of my nose thoroughly. He also explained in detail how reconstruction and surgery would be done. After all, the result is what matters most, right? It has been 2 to 3 months since the surgery, and first of all, the discomfort while sleeping is gone. I can now sleep on my right side too, and I’m so happy... My shoulders don’t hurt, so I feel like I can finally live. The surgery period fell during a holiday, and when the director removed my stitches, he was so kind. My face was a complete mess and swollen at the time, but he reassured me, and now I’m taking photos from every angle and feeling satisfied with how I look. Since I had functional nose surgery, the cost was quite high. But this isn’t double eyelids or a small cosmetic procedure... I’m satisfied because it was worth the cost. Never get nose surgery at a factory-style place that churns people out. Never go just because of some Instagram ad saying it will be done for 1 or 2 million won, and I hope you get a safe and perfect surgery under the hands of the chief surgeon who operates only twice a day. It has not even been 6 months yet, so I need to keep watching a little longer, but so far I’m extremely satisfied!
