I was bothered by fine lines on my forehead and around my eyes, so I got Botox. Since a lot of people around me do it, I thought it would be no big deal, but when it was time to actually do it, I got a little worried about my expression getting stiff. During the consultation, they explained which areas they would inject and how much, and since I said my goal was something natural, they adjusted it that way. The procedure was over really fast. There was a stinging sensation, but it was hard to call it pain. It was not like anything changed right away after the injections. They said it would take a few days for the effect to appear, which was a little frustrating. After a week, my forehead felt a bit less mobile. Rather than the wrinkles being erased completely, it felt more like they folded less. If I had expected dramatic changes, I would have been disappointed. But once I thought of it as something for maintaining a natural look, it made sense. The downside is that the duration is not as long as I expected, and needing repeated sessions can be a financial burden.
