First of all, I had filler in my nasal bridge before, and I also had jaw surgery, so even for a first surgery it was on the more difficult side lol......After doing a lot of legwork, most places recommended implants, which was different from what I expected. And while listening to the explanations, some places spoke way too negatively, so I was getting more and more discouraged;; Then I thought, if a hospital does not give me the diagnosis I want, can't I just go to a place that does the kind of surgery I want a lot? So I looked for places known for implant-free surgery and went to consult......In case anyone asks, I had the surgery >>>> at Vn (Chief Director Oh Seung-il). I visited 3 clinics and then made my decision. Here they did a CT scan and checked the size of my septal cartilage, but because of the effects of jaw surgery they said they could not use the septum lol. They said my nose was basically in a revision-surgery state......If I wanted it more sturdy, autologous costal cartilage would have been better, but because of cost issues I said I would use donated rib cartilage lol. The director did not say I could not do it, and for materials and such they said they would really follow the patient's wishes unless it was something absolutely terrible, which was reassuring haha. For the bridge, the two methods were: 1) insert silicone to make it higher, or 2) insert cartilage particles to even out the bridge level, and I said option 2 right away. In case I regretted it after surgery, they did virtual plastic surgery simulations in both versions... At that point I kept saying I wanted it even higher.. higher.. and the director honestly said it could end up looking bumpy at that level lol.... so I asked them to raise it as much as possible within a safe range. There was not even one uncomfortable moment during the consultation, and it was mostly me and the director just joking around. The way they answered my questions about the surgery without looking annoyed was also top-tier here. For about a week after surgery, swelling made the tip of my nose look slightly lifted;; but once the swelling went down, it disappeared.... my satisfaction shot up. My mood was basically like red team up, blue team up lol..... Since they did not use ear cartilage, sleeping was comfortable, and the bridge that they said might become bumpy turned out smooth without any of that. The director personally handled all of the follow-up checks, and when I asked how my recovery was going, they said it was coming down in a normal way. Because they checked it directly and explained it, my trust went up even more. It has now been a month since surgery, and of course my satisfaction is even higher than at the one-week mark. I keep thinking why I did not do it sooner~~~~~~ I used donated rib cartilage because of cost, but I do not regret that either. I mean, what was I supposed to do when I did not have enough money.....Of course silicone has its advantages too, but implant-free surgery definitely has its own advantages too~~~~ You can make a nose shape this good without an implant, so there is no need to insist on silicone; please look into implant-free options as well.
