I had nose surgery once 5 years ago. At the time I was happy with the height and the line looked pretty good, so I thought, “This is enough,” but as time passed I started to feel like something was off little by little. At first I thought it was just my imagination, but then my nose started feeling like it was being pulled upward, and even when I smiled there was this awkward feeling that kept bothering me. After the swelling went down and about 3 months passed, I could feel it even more clearly. My philtrum felt longer, and when I compared old photos, my nose looked short from the front, and from a 45-degree angle the nostrils looked too vertical, which was really stressful... Every time I looked in the mirror I was so self-conscious, and I started avoiding taking photos T_T So in the end I decided to get a revision surgery and went back and forth from the countryside to Seoul for consultations at about 4 to 5 places. I visited well-known clinics and also several hospitals said to specialize in revision surgery, but it was harder than I expected to find one that suited my style. Most of the consultations felt like they were recommending a sharp, high, Pinocchio-like look, but I wanted something natural, yet with a clearly defined height. So I chose Al-U Plastic Surgery. From the consultation, they clearly understood my direction of “natural, pretty, and not obviously done,” which gave me confidence, and they did not pressure me or make me feel burdened, so I decided to go with them. The surgery was done using autologous costal cartilage and a custom Inofit implant, and honestly the thing I was most worried about was the pain. But it was... really not as painful as I expected. Of course, saying it hurt at all would be a lie, but compared with how scared I was, it was much better, and I could go back to daily life quickly. I really think you do not need to worry too much about that part. I am truly satisfied with the result. The tip is not overly sharp, but it falls naturally while the overall height is definitely there, and most of all I love that the short-looking feeling from the front is gone. From a 45-degree angle, I am no longer stressed about seeing my nostrils, so I have started liking taking photos again.
