Hello. I came back to keep my promise to leave a review of my restoration surgery after incisional ptosis correction. I’m a little late. My symptoms are in my previous post. I had my first surgery in Jan. 2020, developed complications from ptosis correction, and even though the doctor said they could not take responsibility, I had it undone a little over 2 weeks later. After suffering for 3 years, I somehow found the courage and had surgery in Jan. 2023. I roughly wrote down the surgery cost and progress.
Right up until I went into surgery, I was told there was a half chance it would get better and a half chance it would get worse (ㅜ).... I don’t know how I decided on surgery, heard something like that, and still underwent 3 hours of surgery fully conscious. I don’t know where that courage came from. Thank you, God.
I had surgery in mid-Jan. 2023, and in the beginning I had eyelid twitching, symptoms that came and went, and a lot of emotional ups and downs, but now, 8 months later, I’m doing well. My appearance is more natural than before, and functionally it is much more comfortable than before.
It is not as comfortable as being in my natural state. I think expecting that much would be greedy, so I’m living gratefully now.
Today someone left a comment in this community, and I got a KakaoTalk notification, so I came in to write this review. I’ve been busy with many things in the meantime.
I learned a hard life lesson from the complications of ptosis correction. I hope others can achieve both function and appearance without going through this hardship, and I hope it becomes widely known how dangerous complications from ptosis correction can be, and that this surgical method is an unsafe one that can make a person suffer pain for life. Let’s not touch the eye-opening muscles carelessly. You say it’s a surgery method with no problems? Then I guess it must be an issue with the skill of the doctor who operated on me. But these days, even among doctors, problems with ptosis correction are being discussed a lot. Much more than in 2020, even just looking online. It feels like causing the illness and then offering the cure. I’ll graduate from this community now.

*Some people find a complication review while searching reviews of the hospital where I had my first surgery and ask me about it, and yes, that is the place. *The hospital where I had revision surgery was Catholic University Daejeon St. Mary’s Hospital, but I don’t know what “셩” plastic surgery means... I hope it gets corrected to plastic surgery in the options someday.. But which hospital it is doesn’t matter. What matters is who the surgeon is. Thank you, Professor Kang Yoon-je.
