For reference, this is not an ad!! They didn’t tell me they’d give me a discount if I posted it.. ㅠㅠ I’m just writing because I’m bored and it feels fascinating..
Here, they have fixed prices: 1 area is 4.5 million, 2 areas are 7 million, and 3 areas are 11 million, and if you additionally do liposuction or fat grafting, it seems to be +@.
First of all, the director only schedules one to two surgeries per day, so I was booked as the second surgery. I arrived at 10, but the previous surgery ended late, so I think they prepared me for surgery around 11:20.
Strangely, I wasn’t nervous while waiting.. I waited in the recovery room until my turn and even dozed off for a bit (but the recovery room was a little cold ㅠㅠ).
The director’s style seems like a “just trust me and follow my lead?” kind of style.
Of course, he didn’t actually say that.. He’s not the type to actively reflect the patient’s opinions, and he seems to have his own pride in his work.
I didn’t have a specific shape I wanted and wanted him to do it according to the harmony of my face, so that part didn’t really matter to me. (+ The director really hates unnatural-looking chins that seem like they couldn’t exist in this world. Much more than you’d think!! He really dislikes them. Before contouring, I had chin filler and my chin tip had sagged. He nagged me endlessly that my sagging chin tip looked extremely unnatural lololol.)
Right before going into surgery, the anesthesiologist also asked a few questions about special considerations, and this doctor was kind too!! After I woke up from anesthesia, they also came and asked if there was anything uncomfortable. As a result, the anesthesia suited me well, and people say your throat hurts after facial contouring.. but my throat didn’t hurt and I had no nausea at all. I was like, wow, this is possible?
And I heard them telling the person who had the first surgery in the room next door to cough to expel the anesthetic gas, but maybe I looked fine because they didn’t say that to me. I was fine, but.. why didn’t I have to cough? I don’t know why lol.
(+ Ah, after waking from anesthesia, my throat didn’t hurt, but the intraoral incision area hurt so much that I think I woke up only a few minutes after surgery. But after about an hour it gradually stopped hurting, and by the time I got home it didn’t hurt at all.) - *Subjectively, the pain from the intraoral incision is tolerable if you’ve had orthodontic treatment before.
It was my first time under general anesthesia, so I was really nervous, but the feeling of receiving it was similar to sedation anesthesia. The process must be different, but from the patient’s side, I closed my eyes and opened them and it was just over..ㅎ
I’m not good with alcohol, so it takes me over two hours to wake up from sedation anesthesia, but with general anesthesia I was unexpectedly fine..??
Anyway, cases like this exist too.. The consultant also found it funny and asked if I wasn’t too fine.
And when the surgery is all done, they give you ice cream and pumpkin porridge, but because of the compression band, I couldn’t open my mouth, so it felt like I was kissing the food.. I spilled half and couldn’t even eat the other half properly.. My jaw condition couldn’t keep up with my appetite, so I struggled to eat.
Anyway, I went into surgery at 11:20, and when I opened my eyes it was 2:30. They said the surgery would take two hours, and I think it ended right on time. (For reference, if it’s 3 areas, I think they schedule three to four hours. I didn’t do cheekbones, so it ended early.)
I was probably discharged around 5:30 p.m. the same day. (This hospital doesn’t use a blood drain? hose? and there’s no hospitalization!)
Normally, I would have had to wear the compression band and take it off later at dawn, but the director looked at me and said that since he additionally dissolved the chin tip filler during surgery, my chin tip was too swollen and the compression band made it turn bluish, so he told me to just not wear it lololol. He said it seemed like blood circulation wasn’t good.. I’m so happy I don’t have to wear the compression band!!
After discharge, I bought sweet pumpkin porridge and went home, but my condition was so good that I immediately went for a one-hour walk before going in. There isn’t much swelling on my chin, and my eyes, nose, and mouth aren’t swollen at all. I have no bruising at all.. seriously amazing.. It’ll probably swell more the next day, though..
Right now, I can open my jaw enough to fit one thumb, and I really wanted to eat the little rice cake balls in the pumpkin porridge, so I ate two or three, and I could eat them fine.. It’s just one “can this happen?” after another.. lololol (Maybe because I didn’t do cheekbones, chewing may be relatively easier.)
+ Ah, the head director tends to make a lot of blunt, factual comments, and his tone might make some people feel offended (the consultant also gave me a heads-up about this at first), but I don’t think he says things on purpose to make you feel bad. He acts a bit brusque, but he takes good care of you and is kind! It just feels like tsundereㅎ
While there are people like me who don’t really mind this kind of thing, I looked up a few reviews and it seems quite a few people were hurt because his diction is very strong. I’m just writing this for reference!
