Day 19 after revision lateral and lower canthoplasty

The swelling that I wondered when it would go down, and felt like it never would, and the discomfort of not being able to see ahead started gradually disappearing from day 12 after surgery, and before I knew it, I had a human face again.

I went to have stitches removed twice in total, once on day 5 and once on day 8. During my first canthoplasty before, I remembered that removing the stitches hurt more than the surgery, so I was really scared, but this time it didn’t hurt to the point that I didn’t even know when it started or ended. I didn’t feel anything at all lolol

But maybe the area where the stitches were removed hadn’t attached well enough, because the wound opened up, so the next day I fasted again, went to the clinic, had anesthesia, and got it stitched again....

Today is day 19, but it’s only been a few days since the stitches were removed, so I think the scar is healing slowly..

(People with weak skin can have wounds open easily, so be careful...)

These days I’ve developed a habit of checking my eyes in the mirror and turning on the camera all the time lolol There are still scars, but my eyes definitely seem bigger. And I’ll have to wait a few more months to know for sure, but the asymmetry that bothered me feels much improved too.

My first surgery failed, so my eyes were uneven and I was extremely stressed, and at the clinic where I had the surgery, they only told me it couldn’t be helped because I was originally asymmetrical. So I figured even if I had revision surgery, they’d still be uneven anyway, and I just left it like that and lived for years. But every time I took selfies, it was annoying having to use correction to match my eyes, and I just couldn’t give up on my eyes ㅠㅠ

From the time I decided to have revision surgery, I worried over it for more than a year before choosing this clinic, so although I still need to wait and see because of conjunctival edema and scarring, I’m truly hoping so desperately that it turns out well.
