It's my first nose surgery, and my nose is just average, not high but not too low either, and not particularly pretty.
I was planning to only have surgery on the nasal bridge and nasal tip, but I'm debating whether I should have an osteotomy.
The first clinic I went to recommended osteotomy, and they said I didn't have to do it if I didn't want to. But they said it would feel a bit more effective if I did, and they recommended it almost as if telling me to do it.
The second clinic didn't bring up osteotomy at all. So I got curious and asked about osteotomy first. After touching my nasal bones, they said, "Oh? You can have an osteotomy! But even if you do it, I don't think the effect will look noticeable. You don't have to do it, but if you think you might later keep wondering psychologically, 'Should I have done it?' then do it." Since they weren't actively recommending it, I'm even more torn.. The consultant also said I don't really need an osteotomy
For now, I've already decided to have surgery at the second clinic, and I'm only debating the osteotomy Would it be better to do it or not do it?
They said having an osteotomy doesn't make it more dangerous, but I still prioritize safety... I'm so torn. I'm also worried that if I don't do it for no reason, I might regret it later.
