I’m still a student, and it’s been exactly 8 months since I had incisional double eyelid surgery. I had it done at a famous clinic in Gangnam, but I was in a rush, so I couldn’t even go around comparing clinics. I had the surgery the same day as soon as I went in for the consultation. I don’t really like very low lines, but the director kept saying my eyes absolutely couldn’t handle a high line and that we had to set it low no matter what. So I almost felt forced into getting a low in-out line. They also said I needed fat grafting for my eyes, so I did that too, and medial epicanthoplasty as well! The consultation ended in about 5 minutes, and they even finalized the surgery estimate when I was half out of it in the operating room. Anyway, up to that point I didn’t care as long as the surgery turned out well, but from the very day of surgery, the line was extremely low. It was just like... a gut feeling? I had asked them to make my eyes look open and refreshed from the front even if the line was low, but they operated on me almost like an inline crease, so I really didn’t like it. When it had been about 6 months, I went to the clinic and requested an after-service revision. The director looked at it and said it could have felt stuffy, so we decided to do an after-service revision. It’s scheduled for mid-October, but honestly, I wasn’t even that satisfied with the line in the first place, and when I looked at community reviews, there were a lot of people saying their results were bad. I started seeing all these things I hadn’t noticed before when I was researching online back then.
But right now I’m a student, and I heard incisional revision surgery costs twice as much, so I feel completely lost about what to do. Among people who got after-service revisions at the same clinic, I haven’t seen anyone saying they were satisfied. People say it’s actually better later on to get revision surgery at a different clinic instead. Is that really true..? ㅠ ㅠ My first surgery was already really expensive, so I feel sorry asking my parents for money, and I think it would be so hard to study while also working part-time to earn the money for double eyelid surgery,, I was just thinking of getting the after-service revision at the same clinic because it’s more cost-effective, but would that be a bit risky... Honestly, I’m so worried I won’t like the line this time either. On top of that, it’s not natural adhesion or buried suture, it’s incisional.. I’m also worried there won’t be enough excess skin left. What should I do? Please help me ㅠ.,ㅠ
