I'm from outside Seoul, but I still got double eyelid surgery at a hospital famous for it in my area, and my first surgery was a total failure. Trying to save money, I thought it would turn out okay, and I had surgery a total of 3 times with the same surgeon who messed it up..... If it was going to end up like this, I guess I should have just gone to Seoul ㅠㅠ If yours doesn't turn out well, please make sure to go to a different hospital for revision surgery, definitely!! My eyes are seriously stressing me out so much ㅠㅠ
ㅇㄴㅋ - When I went for the consultation, they said the doctor had to go into surgery, so I first went in just to get the consultation. I had gone all the way to Seoul because I needed surgery, so I was worried they might do it carelessly, but they examined me very thoroughly. They kept checking the line, and I kept holding the line and discussing it with them. (They said there wasn't enough room, so I would need line-lowering revision with double-line incision. They said the scar could leak and roll upward, and that fat repositioning above the eye would also be needed. They said they would match the symmetry as much as possible.)
ㄸㅋ - Somehow it felt less like a revision surgery consultation and more like a regular double eyelid consultation. They just checked the exact line I wanted and said okay, let's go with this. But they said my eyes are difficult, so I might need to do it one more time. The consultation felt very clean and ended quickly????
ㅎㄷㅁㅎ - I personally really didn't like this place.. First of all, they said they absolutely do not do double-line incision. They were very confident, and other hospitals said I would need to lower the line to get rid of my characteristic sausage eyes, but here they said it would be fine even if it stayed thick. But they said they would completely release the eye and do it, so the double eyelid might come undone after the revision, and we should do it with the thought that I might need one more surgery. What I didn't like was that the director kept openly saying to add this and add that, which felt off. They suggested fat grafting too, and since we're at it, canthoplasty? You're not doing canthoplasty? Stuff like that.... It was a bit uncomfortable because it was too obvious they were trying to add everything... I did like their confidence and the reviews.
ㅍㄹㅇㅂ - Nothing much here. Both the consultant and the director said let's not touch the eyes, that I probably don't need surgery, and that they look fine when I open my eyes, so I just passed on this place haha. The consultant and everyone were all nice.
