Before <top is before, bottom is same day> <2 months> <3-4 years after surgery> After <after surgery> I had natural double eyelids, but they were so uneven that I hated looking at themㅠㅠ so I made up my mind to get double eyelid surgery and did lots of online and in-person research. At the time, I went to three places: ㅈㅅㅌ, ㅋㅇ, and ㅌㅇㅅ. I even put down a deposit at ㅈㅅㅌ (back then there was only one chief director), and then I went to ㅋㅇ and ㅌㅇㅅ too.
At ㅋㅇ, I had a consultation with Director Kim ㅅㅎ, who is now at ㅇㅁㄷ, but for some reason I just wasn’t drawn to it.. They also pressured me hard to put down a depositㅠ Then I went to ㅌㅇㅅ, and without knowing anything, I applied for an event and ended up booking the consultation with the chief director.. The consultation was just so-so, and while talking with the consultant, I first of all liked the consultant, so I went with it;; Ridiculous, I knowㅠ And they said the event price didn’t apply to the chief director. So while booking, the consultant said Director Guk, who was there at the time, was good, so I said please make it with that doctor, and decided on this place because it was the cheapest.....ㅜ Back then I was a broke part-timer..
In my heart I wanted ㅈㅅㅌ, but it was 880,000 won, and ㅌㅇㅅ was 540,000 wonㅠㅠ
So, absurdly enough, I met the director for the first time on the day of surgery, had the line marked, and got the surgery... But what’s also funny is that it turned out really well;; I was lucky.
At the very end of the surgery, the director told me to open my eyes, so I did, and after seeing my eyes open, he said to himself, “Ah, I knew it was right to lift this side,” looking proud of himself. If it hadn’t been for the director’s instinct then, I got surgery because of the asymmetry, but I would have ended up with the same asymmetry..
I thought about it again recently and looked him up, and he had opened his own clinic! And from what I hear, he’s obsessive about symmetry.. But maybe because I experienced it myself, I totally acknowledge his symmetry obsession! Thanks to him, my double eyelids escaped being uneven.
These days, because of the posterior lower canthoplasty I had, I’ve been diligently looking up cosmetic surgery stuff again and browsing around, so I wanted to post a review of my eyes after all this time and quietly rambled on..
