Monolid, first surgery, small eyes + eyes with quite a bit of fat. Clinic-visit review in Seoul and Gyeonggi
1. Wonderful Plastic Surgery - Partial incision + upper canthoplasty + fat removal - Consultation fee: 10,000 won - The clinic was clean, and the consultant was kind. They adjusted the price as much as possible to fit my budget. The consultant had a lot of pride in the doctor’s skills. - The director marked both the line I wanted and the line they recommended. They marked the line many times. I needed to proactively ask questions, but since it was the first place I went for a consultation, I couldn’t think of what to ask. So the consultation itself ended quickly, but it didn’t feel like anything was clearly decided, so I didn’t choose it. - One of the most expensive places among the clinics I visited.
2. Yellow Plastic Surgery - Incision + medial upper epicanthoplasty - Director Lee Dae-sung - No consultation fee - They took photos and explained while comparing the photos together. Rather than the line I wanted, they explained logically about the line that was possible for me. Here, they said my eye-opening strength was okay, but all the other clinics said it was insufficient;; (I also thought my eye-opening strength was weak, so it was unexpected.) They didn’t recommend many procedures and recommended a natural line and procedures that suited me. After going to this clinic’s consultation, I started thinking it would be better to proceed with a line that is possible for me. - A reasonable price compared with other clinics.
3. Noh Sang-hoon Plastic Surgery - Incision + epicanthoplasty + ptosis correction - Director Kim Ju-hyun - No consultation fee - I arrived much earlier than the reservation time, waited a little, and they proceeded with the consultation right away. The consultant didn’t pressure me and tried to fit my budget as much as possible. - The doctor was calm and carefully marked the line. I preferred incision (because I like that it doesn’t come undone and is definite), and they asked if there was a reason. The first line they marked kept lingering in my mind, so I felt like I should do it here. (Of course, I think I’ll go a bit higher than that line.) They recommended only the necessary procedures and personally explained why ptosis correction was needed (sometimes the consultant explains this). They explained my eye shape (such as sunken eyes) and marked a possible, natural line (I had also said I wanted a natural line). - I put down a deposit here. I plan to proceed here.
4. To Be Plastic Surgery - Incision + ptosis correction + canthoplasty (I don’t remember exactly, but three types of canthoplasty) - VAT separate - No consultation fee - There was no pressure to book on the same day, and it seemed like they adjusted the price to some extent. - I was a bit taken aback because they recommended too many canthoplasty procedures... (There was no pressure.) The doctor themselves was very good. They marked several lines and gave detailed explanations. It proceeded similarly to other places, but I felt burdened because there were several types of canthoplasty (and the price became burdensome too;;). They calculated the price as if I were almost going to do it. - On the expensive side
5. Kkomkkom Plastic Surgery - No consultation fee - Non-incisional buried suture method + ptosis correction + canthoplasty (I think there was one) - A lot of pressure to book on the same day (they said they wouldn’t give the discount even if I called that evening to book), located in a residential area. (e.g., a math academy downstairs, that kind of place) - A clinic I directly asked about from someone on a blog who had paid for it themselves. - When I said I wanted a natural line, this clinic recommended the buried suture method. Since I wanted incision, I didn’t choose it because they said they would proceed with the buried suture method. The doctor really was meticulous, just like the clinic name. They explained in detail and personally explained the surgical method too. I didn’t feel any particular difference from other places, so I thought, “Do I really need to? All the way here?” and didn’t choose it (4 hours round trip). - Since it was the buried suture method, the price wasn’t on the expensive side even with several procedures included.

Cheongdam Line Plastic Surgery - There is a consultation fee, but they don’t charge it if you add them as a KakaoTalk friend. - Incision + ptosis correction + canthoplasty (I don’t remember well) - VAT separate - The discounted price was the same as the first quote I received in Gangnam (the price before discount), so I asked if there was any way to get an additional discount, but they said no. At Wonderful Plastic Surgery, which was completely outside my budget, they tried somehow to give a discount (they actually discounted quite a lot), but here they just kept repeating that it was difficult because it was already a discounted price. - The consultation with the doctor was good. They showed me the possible lines for me, raising them from levels 1 to 4. The person getting the surgery chooses among them. They also answered a lot of questions. Again, I didn’t feel any special difference compared with other clinics. - The most expensive among the places I visited.
--------------------------------------- Overall Review ------------------------------------------------------ It seemed like they all marked the lines well. The doctor performs the surgery, but since I talk about the price with the consultant, I chose a place where the consultation with the consultant was also good. I don’t want to get surgery while excessively exceeding my budget, and I didn’t feel anything special enough to justify paying that price, so I plan to proceed at a clinic that offered a reasonable level of pricing (though I still think it is expensive).
