Photos in order: existing double eyelid line / loosened line / eye without makeup / same day as natural adhesion surgery
I originally had double eyelids, and only when my eyes swelled would both sides become double-layered, but starting about 3 years ago, one eye often had multiple double eyelid folds, and then it just settled that way lol ㅜ Honestly, I lived without caring by wearing my bangs down, but I wanted to grow my bangs out, and the eyelid on the side with the multiple fold kept lifting, pulling even my eyebrow upward, so my eyebrows looked uneven. I decided to have surgery to correct both the eyebrows and the double eyelid.
Double eyelid surgery is so common and it feels like everyone has had it done, so I went in underestimating it without detailed information and almost died from the pain. They said that with sleep anesthesia + local anesthesia, you might feel something moving in your eye but it would not hurt, so I lay on the operating table without fear. But when I woke up midway, I could feel the thread moving back and forth in my eye like worms crawling around, and maybe because of that fear, it felt painfulㅜㅜ I kept tearing up tooㅜㅜㅜㅜ Anyway, when they said, "Please open your eyes," I was so dazzled I thought I would die, but I tried hard to open them slowly and widely... it felt like they only opened 0.1 cm. I thought they would say, "Open wider," but they said, "Close them," so I thought, ah, this must be normal. I rested in the recovery room and was about to go home, and it was just a feeling and pain of opening my eyes that I had never experienced before, so I wondered if I had done this for nothing. But when I got home and looked, I kind of liked the line lol
Starting 3 hours after surgery, I guess the anesthesia wore off and it hurt, so I thought it was pain, but now that about 8 hours have passed, I got used to it, pulled a bucket hat down low, went out, and even ate meat. Maybe the feeling of opening my eyes itself was just unfamiliar, so I mistook it for pain., Personally, breast surgery feels like a much bigger surgery, but maybe because I was conscious for this one, eye surgery was so scary that it felt scarier to meㅜ This is why I am most afraid of dental treatmentㅠㅠ
I found out about this community after my surgery, so I did not get to read any vivid same-day reviews before goingㅠㅠ I guess that is why I wanted to write one. Anyway, hoping the swelling goes down quickly, I am off to diligently warm-compress my eyes..,,,
