I had surgery 7 years ago at Brown with a director whose name was two syllables, but when I checked the website now, maybe he left, because he isn't there I forgot his name.. Anyway, at the time the director really preferred a very natural look, and he didn’t recommend putting foreign materials in the face, so even though it was my first surgery, he recommended donated costal cartilage rather than silicone, so I just followed that I also didn’t want my nose to be raised too sharply or obviously, and rather than having a goal of making my nose higher, I disliked that my hump was slightly protruding at the time, so my goal was to shave that down and gather my spread-out nasal tip They said silicone has a higher risk of inflammation later, so I just had surgery with donated costal cartilage When people see my nose, it looks so natural that some occasionally ask because they’re unsure whether it’s natural or operated on But these days I sometimes wonder if I should have made it a bit more like a doll line.. Sometimes when I read posts related to cosmetic surgery, there are posts saying you shouldn’t use donated costal cartilage or autologous costal cartilage from the first surgery, but anyway, it didn’t fail, so I’m just living with it so-so
